Slightly off topic

My favorite thing I have read today:
When Douglas Adams and team created the original radio version of "Hitchhikers' Guide to the Galaxy", the theme music featured a haunting space-cowboy guitar whine. According to Adams, people besieged the station / him / etc asking where they could get a hold of the music.

Adams enjoyed telling them that THEY ALREADY OWNED IT because it was very likely they'd bought Eagles' "One Of These Nights" and the H2G2 theme, Journey of the Sorcerer, was the last cut on the "other" side of that album, the side that almost nobody played!

Website back up

Finally set up a new home for my arcade website.  It's going to take me a while to completely rebuild it, since my ISP decided to take down my site without warning, and I hadn't backed it up in over a year.  Lesson learned, I guess.
Still under construction, so if there are any broken links, please be patient, as I am still working to fix everything.

280Zzzap!

My video of my old 280 Zzzap! game was featured in an article on jalopnik.com:

http://jalopnik.com/datsun-was-the-first-car-maker-to-officially-brand-a-vi-1652829922/all

Cool article about the game, sadly I sold it a couple of years ago, and really regret it.

The video kinda sucks, as the camera I was using wasn't that great, and it's really hard to capture the way the game really looks since it has this half silvered mirror which reflects the game onto this cardboard background.  Plus the steering wheel pot was shot, that's why I look like a much worse driver than I really am.

Garage Sale Goodies

Did a little shopping today, and picked up a couple of Playstation titles for 50 cents a pop.
Nothing too special but for 50 cents each, you can't lose...
Picked up:
Ridge Racer
Rally Cross 2
2 Xtreme
Independence Day
Small Soldiers
Crash Bandicoot: Warped

Also picked up 4 Dave Brubeck Records in pretty good shape for 10 cents a piece... haven't bought a 10 cent record since I was a kid.

No auctions scheduled within the near future... which is disappointing.
