Day 6:
Mojo IPA- Boulder Beer Company

Pretty good IPA.  Quite tasty.  Nice citrusy flavor, ends with a bitter finish, very easy to drink.

I'd buy this again.

Day 5:
Blue Moon...

Sorry for the shit pic.  Cell phone pic in a dark bar...Stupid cell phone fucked up the video I took too, so not thrilled with the phone right now.
I was at a bar I've never been to before to see Drag The River, and couldn't really see their bottled beer (and of course they didn't have a list) so I grabbed this off tap... along with a couple of Budweisers.
All in All a cool time, got to hang out with some buds, and the band after the show, so it's all good.

30 Days 30 Beers Day 4

Day 4:
Crown Valley Brewing Raspberry Wheat Beer.

Very orange color.  Lots of carbonation, too much in fact to the point of being really distracting.  Flavor isn't bad, light bodied.  Seemed to start with less of the raspberry flavor, but as I drank more, it became much more prevalent.

The bottle says "Brewing a Missouri Legend, Our Raspberry Wheat is an American Wheat beer aged on generous amounts of Oregon raspberries to give it a mild but sweet taste." 

Another one, I didn't mind, save for the carbonation, but again, not great, not bad.
Probably wouldn't buy this one again either, but would drink it if it was offered.

Day 3:

Monty Python's Holy Grail
Black Knights Reserve Dark Yorkshire Ale.

The Bottle states that it is tempered over burning witches...

It's not bad, probably wouldn't be on my day to day drinking list though.  Can't really think of a whole lot to say about the flavor, average at best I suppose.  The beer is nowhere near as good as it's namesake.  The bottle looks pretty cool though, at least it will be a keeper.

All I can say is, I don't remember it being this good.  Gets better with every pint.

No this isn't arcade related, but I'm putting it here anyway.
It's too damn hot to do anything in the arcade anyway :D

I'm 4 days into this already, been posting it on a webforum I frequent, I'll copy what I've done already to this post, and start one post per day with day 5.

Note: I am not a beer snob connoisseur, so don't expect the type of reviews that you see on those sites where any beer that isn't brewed in some tiny microbrewery in a town no one has ever heard of (minimum 500 miles from any major metropolitan area), using only the local artisan spring water which has been personally spooged in by 40 virgins on a nightly basis is considered swill.
My reviews are going to be more along the lines of "Does it taste good?  What does it taste like?  What color is it? Would I buy it again"
That being said, here are days 1-4.

Day 1:
Leinenkugels Summer Shandy

Label describes it as "A weiss beer brewed with honey with a natural lemonade flavor"...

Not bad, not great, figured it would be a lot sweeter, but thankfully it had just a bit of lemon flavor... more like a lemon peel than a lemonade flavor.   The lemon wasn't really too overpowering (at least to me.)
Pretty good though for a hot summer day, goes down really easy.  Grabbed a few of these cans as they were on sale, and went through them pretty quickly.

Another Arcade Auction + more

Superauctions was back in Belleville on 4/7/2012.
Not a bad auction, picked up a "Die Hard" Arcade for $25 and a Merit Megatouch IV for $37.50
The Die Hard had a cart error, got it home, reseated the cart, and it plays perfectly.
The Megatouch worked fine but wasn't taking coins. Pulled it apart, and there were 3 quarters jammed in the mech, cleaned them out and it works fine as well.
Didn't take down any of the prices, as again they were not writing them on the machines (and I forgot to bring a pen) There was a ton of people taking down prices, but none seem to have posted them... next time I'll have to remember.

Only problem is the thing is too big to fit through the gameroom door.
I should be able to get it in with a few Ross Gellar like PIVOT! moves...

Also been working on my Williams multigame. Got the cab mostly sanded down, still need to do a bit more sanding before starting on rebuilding the bottom part.

You can see the Robotron 2084 sideart peeking through the black paint. Sadly I couldn't save any of it, as the person who repainted it used an oil based paint rather than latex, so only the most powerful paint stripper would take it off, and in the process ruin the artwork below.
















Here's a pic of the side after most of the paint has been stripped away, and I started sanding.


















And this is after most of the sanding has been completed, there's still a bit of paint left to finish.
